Hydrogen Fueling Stations
Monitors high-pressure hydrogen storage, piping, and dispensing valves for micro-leaks (<1ppm) to prevent flammable build-ups.
Battery Charging Rooms
Detects dangerous H2 off-gassing accumulated during large-scale lead-acid battery charging operations in warehouses and power plants.
Labs & Semiconductors
Ensures trace-level safety and high-accuracy detection for gas chromatography, fabrication processes, and research facilities.
Petrochemical & Refining
Provides robust ATEX-certified safety monitoring for petroleum refining, hydrotreating, and chemical processing zones.
This H2 gas detector has a 1 year (365 days) warranty. Usually, the gas detector needs to be calibrated once a year or every 6 months. It can be calibrated at any local calibration institution, or you can send it to us for calibration. The calibration fee is $ 75 for one time. So it is recommended to purchase a copper kit and a stainless calibration kit.
Gas Detection FAQs - For Your Safety Environments
Built-in advanced gas detector sensor and sound & light alarm to ensure precise and safe gas detection in hazardous applications.
Q: What is the measuring range of the GasDog H2 detector, and how does %VOL relate to %LEL?
A: GasDog H2 detector supports flexible configurations from trace leaks (0-10 ppm with 0.001 ppm resolution) up to high-concentration safety monitoring (0-4% VOL). Since the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) of Hydrogen is exactly 4% by volume in air, a range of 0-4% VOL is equivalent to 0-100% LEL, providing complete coverage for explosion prevention.
Q: Is this handheld Hydrogen detector certified for classified hazardous areas?
A: Yes. GasDog GD200 portable gas detectors feature an intrinsically safe design with a Ⅱ 2G Ex ia Ⅱ CT4 Ga explosion-proof classification. It strictly complies with ATEX and CE safety standards, making it legally compliant and safe for use in industrial Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
Q: What type of H2 sensor does it use, and what is its response time?
A: Depending on your required range (ppm vs. %VOL), this Hydrogen gas detector utilizes a high-precision electrochemical sensor. Powered by an internal motorized sampling pump, it delivers an ultra-fast response time (T90<15s), ensuring workers receive immediate alerts before gas concentrations reach hazardous levels.
