Case Study 1: Monitoring Hydrogen Sulfide Gas in Sewage Treatment
Customer Needs
Bridgestone Group required 24/7 Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) monitoring for its new sewage treatment plant, with real-time data accessible from an office 800 meters away across eight monitoring points.
Solutions
GasDog recommended the GD300-H2S fixed gas detector, featuring a display, sound, and light alarm, along with a one-to-four-eight-bus multifunctional color screen controller. Each fixed detector was integrated with two blowers via relays, ensuring automatic activation when H2S levels exceeded safe limits, and providing immediate ventilation.
Since the customer was new to fixed gas detectors and bus controllers, GasDog pre-labeled all wiring and pre-mapped each detector to its respective monitoring point before shipping. This simplified installation requires only basic wiring to complete the setup on-site.
Case Study 2: H2S Gas Detection for Environmental Protection
Customer Needs
In 2024, an environmental protection company required a batch of online gas detectors to monitor NH3 (Ammonia) and H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) in waste gas before discharging it into the atmosphere after centralized treatment. Additionally, the company needed to analyze the gas concentration post-treatment to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
During discussions, we learned that the detection point had slightly positive pressure, constant humidity, and normal temperature, eliminating the need for a pretreatment system. Instead, the setup required an external pump to draw gas through the instrument pipe from the chimney into the probe’s air chamber for analysis.
Solutions
GasDog provided GD300 fixed series detectors with a 0-100ppm range for this application. At each monitoring point, both NH3 and H2S probes were installed to independently measure their concentrations in the waste gas.
Engineer Lu approved the solution and initially purchased two sets for testing. After successful installation, he shared site photos and later placed additional orders for four more batches of NH3 and H2S detectors. He highly appreciated GasDog’s product quality and service.
